French toast is one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. The sweet and savory flavors are two things that I love. To put a twist on it I turned it into a casserole for a brunch I was having and boy it was a hit. It's easy to make and your guest will love it.
Ingredients
- 2 loaves of Brioche bread
- 8 eggs
- 1/2 cup Milk
- Vanilla
- Cinnamon
- Brown sugar
- Berries
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Cut bread into cubes and fill a greased 9x13 baking dish. You can use other breads but I prefer using brioche because of the sweet flavor it already has.
- In a large bowl , mix together the eggs, cinnamon , milk, vanilla and brown sugar together.
- Pour mixture over bread, cover with saran wrap.
- Place dish in the refrigerator for about 1 hr, or over night. Allow bread to soak up all the liquid.
- Remove from the fridge and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 35-40 mins.
- Remove from the oven and top with fresh berries and powdered sugar.
- Enjoy!
