Jamaican Pepper Shrimp

Peeper shrimp is on finger food that Jamaicans love. The balance of different flavors from the scotch bonnet pepper, pimento, bell peppers, chili, scallion and thyme is what makes this dish so enjoyable.

Ingredients

  • 5 scotch bonnet peppers
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • 2 scallion
  • 3 Cloves garlic
  • Garlic powder
  • Adobo
  • Morton seasoning
  • Paprika
  • Pimento
  • stick of butter
  • 1lb shrimp with head on

Instructions

  1. Clean shrimp and season with garlic powder, paprika, 2 scotch bonnet pepper chopped and Morton seasoning. In a sauce pan or Dutch oven melt butter and sauté chopped scotch bonnet, peppers, scallion, onion, garlic and thyme.
  2. Add shrimp and toss in butter mix, then add 2 tbsp lime juice. Cook covered for about 15 mins or until done.
  3. Remove from heat and serve.
  4. Enjoy
