This recipe is for scalloped potatoes. To make this dish, you will need to thinly slice potatoes and layer them in a baking dish with a mixture of milk, butter, and flour. The dish is then baked until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown. Scalloped potatoes are a classic side dish that pairs well with a variety of main courses and is perfect for a family dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • All purpose seasoning
  • 8 Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and grease dish with garlic butter.
  2. Thinly slice potatoes with a vegetable slicer or with a knife. Arrange half the potatoes in a single over lapping layer in dish. Sprinkle all purpose seasoning and the grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Repeat for the second layer.
  3. Bring to a boil heavy cream, thyme, garlic powder
  4. Pour over potatoes, cover with foil and bake for 25 mins. Remove foil and bake for another 20 - 25mins or until cream has disappeared.
  5. Remove from the oven, let cool then serve.
  6. Enjoy
